That at least seems to be the rumour, passed on by townsfolk [ and NPCs]. Thursday seems to be the date folks are preparing for, with the Mr. Bear Makwa cranking out lemon cakes in practice for the wedding cake, a big smoke pit dug out on the beach by Lord Loa and buried with rocks and banana leaves to cook a whole boar, and a lot of furniture and bedding moved from disused apartments around town to populate the apartment block beside the inn. Why? For the relatives, of course! It seems Miss Gwendoline Barton's family is coming into town from the Wednesday morning tide to the Friday evening tide, to witness the wedding. Poor folks, but intensely curious and deep-country polite, around two dozen are likely be visiting every shop, nook, and cranny, and making very small purchases while here. Lord Bondsmiller has been asked to officiate this wedding, that will take place on the center stage, and there's going to be free food! There's even going to be firey entertainment from Mr. Ming Jingfei for all! With it being so public, it seems everyone's invited! [ The RP will take place Thursday the 25th, in the later part of the afternoon (around 5 or 6pm EST). Don't worry about coming up near the middle or end; you won't be interrupting.
Feel free to boost your character's shop sales by no more than a silver while the Barton clan is present and mention their presence as being law-abiding but far from quiet. ]

Thirteen of Gwendoline's Kin arrived by boat today. Names and descriptions to follow:
Harland Barton: Gwendoline's father, a man with red hair streaked with white, muscular and ruddy from the sun, in his fifties. Talkative with a heavy accent, he'd most likely be found in the tavern or the smoke shop if not with his daughter.
Aunt May and Uncle Albert Barton: Harland's brother and his brother's wife. Both in their early fifties with white streaked red hair. May is very matronly, while Albert has a respectable look, a well trusted miller in his village. The two would be seen sight-seeing around the village and probably be poking their heads into shops looking for, 'interestin souvenirs'.
Mister Mortimer and Missus Viola Barton: Mortimer is Aunt May and Uncle Albert's oldest son, a man in his thirties, and his wife is a little younger, probably late twenties. Mortimer is a red-head, and his wife a strawberry blond. Simple farming folk, they are often to be found in the tavern or near the lake, 'takin in the sights'. Those talking to them might find them politely bigoted against 'big city livin' and 'magic folks'.
Grandmother Alice Barton and her grandniece Tessa Barton: Alice is the mother to Albert and Harland Barton and sister to Tannar Barton. She is at the least seventy, a stooped old woman with pure white hair and very few teeth. She is very excited to be 'adventurin at her age', and curious about herbs and magic. Tessa her willing accomplice, a slightly shy redheaded girl of fifteen, she's happy to do her grandaunt's bidding, particularly when it is, 'so excitin, don't you know."
Great Uncle Tannar Barton and his new wife Golda Barton: Brother to Alice, Tannar Barton is a man well into his sixties, white of hair and rotund of body. Jovial, he is married for the fourth time to a much younger Golda, who's hair is a bright yellow with faint hints of gray, and nearly his match for weight. Butcher of the village, he is used to eating well, as is his wife. Most likely to be found in the tavern, very rarely seen elsewhere.
Aunt Martha Montgomery and her husband Ogden Montgomery: Ogden is the brother of Gwendoline's mother, and not one of the Bartons. Both he and his wife possess red hair, though it is more auburn than the brilliant orange seen among the Bartons. They seem a little graver than the rest of the visitors, though are fascinated by their surroundings. A bit judgmental of anything odd or unusual, they may be seen to tut and shake their heads occasionally. Moss and Violet Montomery: A ten year old boy and a twelve year old girl, gangling and excited to be away from home. Son and daughter to Martha and Ogden, the two are a bit rambunctious and very talkative, most likely to be found with their parents, though occasionally haring off to peer into shop windows and chase interesting bugs.
