Not long ago, when there were far fewer residents on the island, and the village was noticeably smaller, Landi, Haku, and Delrick went into the woods to gather wild honey. No honey was gathered that night, and ICly discussion and later OOC discussion had it that building a hive for domesticated bees would make the task that much easier.
Building a bee house is easy enough. Attracting bees to it is another matter. Teaching Landi and Haku how to tend the bees... nigh impossible as far as the gnome is concerned!
To solve all these issues, Delrick has condensed an encyclopedic knowledge of beekeeping into the design of a simple wooden box, the perfect bee hive. It's taken quite a bit longer than expected, but he's done. However, there just never seems to be time to set up the bee box, or even to tell Haku and Landi that he's ready to do so.
Hence the need to officially schedule this bit of RP, which is mostly about bees, domesticated and otherwise.
(Tropical islands tend not to have large populations of bees. Most of the pollination is done by flies, wasps, or birds, but having established in RP that there are wild bees about, this simplifies domesticating bees (not having to import them)).
Whoever is interested in taking part, just drop a comment here, and we'll set up a time.
