1. This is a place to RP, not to idle, use as an OOC chat-pit, or do persona-play in. If you are in the dream, you’re expected to be available for RP to anyone who asks. Please see more info here:
“It’s sad when you log on looking for RP, and everyone is gray, or chatting OOC. ; A; Some of us only have limited time, after all!”
2. Private RP - being RP that you intend to bar others from, or RP that is held separate and insular from the continuity of the dream - is not a concept we support in Maksa Estate. If your characters are in the dream, they can be walked in on at any time, by anyone (with appropriate in-character consequences applied!)
3. Remember that even though your characters may be punished for misbehavior we still love you. Your characters’ actions here will always have a realistic reaction, or consequences.
4. We require character descriptions to describe what other characters see when they look at your character. Please keep favorite songs, poems, and pictures limited to links at the end of this. You may be asked to leave if they do not comply.
“Sometimes people just aren’t in a place where they can open links, and it’s hard to get through a site just to look for a small detail! Think of your peers!”
5. If there are any disputes regarding the outcomes of fights, be it against NPC monsters or events (pve), or against another player’s character (pvp), an admin’s ruling is final.
6. If you feel you must have a complaint against another player, bring it to an admin instead of that player. We’ll try to arbitrate. Our rulings are final.
7. Anyone may remind anyone else of these rules - even admin, if we forget ourselves!
8. If you develop a problem with one of our admin, take it up with us. You won’t be punished for a complaint, and we can only fix things we know about. The exception to this is if you have a problem with one admin but not another. If you’re more comfortable voicing your concerns to one, the admin you pick will arbitrate for you with the admin you’re struggling with.
9. Sometimes, though, a player or a character may just not be a comfortable fit in the dream; they might want to play something too sexual, or too creepy, or just have too hard of a time complying with our rules. If we feel you’re struggling, we will likely invite you to bring in a different character first to see if that fixes things, but then we may have to ask you to leave.
10. We are not currently accepting characters whose sole purpose in life is to be a villain/criminal. This is a place to heal and grow, and for that reason a constant antagonist is of little interest, particularly as this is a private estate and they would quickly be escorted out. In the same vein, while set in the 1920's tech-wise, if your character is staying at the estate their guns will be taken and stored in a gun safe until they leave.
11. Lastly, we will comply with and enforce both Furcadia and Imaginarium TOS as well as any real-life laws that we’re subject to. This might mean that we’ll have to ask some players to remove certain kinds of content and conduct from our dream.
“Rape RP and sexually charged artwork of characters who appear to be minors are examples of this.”
