Character's Species – Black Jackal (see below)
Character's Age - 40
Physical Description - Standing little over four feet and with slender features Anukha would strike a diminutive appearance. Oily black hair is worn loose, and her body is covered with a soft coat of dull black fur. Her slanted red eyes are filled with a sophisticated but snooty air. She is dressed in an elegant blue robe with gold-lined sleeves and a blue sash on her middle tied into a large blue ribbon, the sash seemed to act like a belt, holding a few pouches and most importantly her wand. Her fluffy black tail is tied in the middle with a linen gold ribbon and on her feet is a pair of dark sandals. She has little in the way of jewellery, only a few ordinary rings and a ruby amulet around her neck.
Magical items/Powers –
Magic
As a magician Anukha is an adept at both fire and earth magic. To aid her in her treasure-hunting she has studied a bit of divination, mainly the spells that allow her to find stuff.
She can also tap into other types of magic but only as 1-prep cantrips at most.
Anukha can safely cast spells of up to 5 preps. After that a 1d20 will be rolled with a penalty of 1, if the result is below 10 she will fail and the spell will backfire.
The Magician has also learned to quickcast, which allows her to immediately cast any spell, although with a 1d20 roll as well with a penalty equal to the spell that has to be cast (For example, if she wanted to cast a 5 prep spell instantly it’d be a 1d20-5 roll. This penalty also remains for a while, if she tries to quickcast again the penalty will be added to the previous one, quickly making casting almost impossible. This also tires her out much faster.
Familiar
Like many magicians Anukha has a familiar, in her case a small ferret. She can possess the ferret and telepathically communicate with the little creature while in return the ferret is blessed with increased intelligence. The beast makes her a tad more agile and a better climber, but as she is always dressed in robes she rarely can make use of this.
A downside of this is that they also share a bond of pain and strong emotions. If Anukha is harmed then her ferret will feel the pain as well and the other way around. If they are removed from one-another by a great distance, or if Caine resides on a different plane (for example the pocket dimension in her necklace.) She cannot use him.
Magic Items
Oakwood wand – A narrow piece of wood with a decorated handle and clearly designed for casting. Anukha can cast without her wand but over the years she has come to rely on it. Her aim is considerably worse without it.
Crystal ball – A magical implement for her divination magic. It allows her to scry for specific objects but she is still a novice and thus this is still extremely limited.
Flying carpet – A large blue flying carpet. While it is a very comfortable means of travelling it is lacking in speed and manoeuvrability. Without distractions Anukha can keep it afloat for about 7 hours.
Bag of Holding – A well-enchanted bag of holding. Aside from holding many different objects she can command the bag to give her a certain object, which makes it easier to browse through her numerous things. If the bag of holding is destroyed the pocket dimension within will explode causing all the objects within to fly out in every direction.
Ruby Necklace – Her ruby necklace contains a small pocket dimension for her ferret to huddle in.
Current Occupation and Life Goal -
Anukha is by her own description a scholar of history although others may call her a very sophisticated treasure hunter. Her life-goal is to discover something so amazing that it immortalises her name.

Anukha Fashii grumbled inwardly as she regarded the man, of all people she had to attract the scruffiest one. At least he tried to have manners, she could not really tell in the language he too seemed foreign to. "What brings me this way? You have not even introduced yourself and already you are prodding in my business?" The jackal shot crossly at the man, and then raised her muzzle in a somewhat snooty way. "I shall say nothing until I have been greeted proper."

Species notes
Anukha is a member of a race that while resembling ordinary furres have a few strange features that set them apart ever so slightly. The most notable features of the Black Jackals, as they are often called, are that they rarely reach heights over 4 feet, 8 and that a large portion of them have very notable black fur, red eyes and unlike many other furres stand on their heels like a human, rather than on the ball.
They are a semi-subterranean race that prefers to sleep underground and have the notable habit of building houses that are mostly underground.
They possess a slightly longer lifespan that a human, on average up to 200 years.
They do age visibly though, even the blackest jackals tend to become almost completely grey when they’ve passed a 100 years.
(I realise my custom system of quick casting nor all of her magical items may be accepted.)
